Architectural model photography. A model is architecture before it is built — its earliest form, and often its most fleeting; in time it is broken down, it wears, it is lost. We preserve that form as it is, its scale and the grain of its materials intact: the same regard we bring to a finished building, turned to the one that has yet to rise. For competitions, monographs, the press, and academic archives.
模型は、その場に立てば誰の目にも触れられます。けれど、その多くは長くは残りません。壊され、傷み、いつか失われていく——あとに遺るのは、記録です。だからこそ、どの高さから、どの光で、どこにピントを置くか。その一つひとつが、模型に宿る建築を、どれだけ忠実に未来へ渡せるかを決めます。派手な仕事ではありません。けれど結果としての一枚が、まだ建たない建築の姿を、確かに遺します。
A model can be seen by anyone who stands before it — but few of them last. They are broken down, they wear, and in time they are lost. What remains is the record. So the smallest decisions matter: from what height, in what light, where to place focus. Each one determines how faithfully the architecture held within the model can be carried forward. It is quiet work. Yet the single frame it leaves keeps the form of a building not yet built, intact, for whatever comes after.

The choice of viewpoint, light, and depth of field decides how faithfully — and how lastingly — the architecture held within the model is preserved. We keep its scale and materials intact, holding the form in a single frame. The difference shows most when the photographs are meant to be seen by others, and to outlast the model itself — in competitions, monographs, and the press.
