Residential shoots start from ¥150,000, full-day sessions from ¥250,000, and drone aerial photography from ¥150,000. The final fee depends on scope, the number of frames, and the intended use. Please see our pricing page or request a quote.

Yes. Either can be added to a building shoot or booked on its own, whether drone aerial photography or architectural-model photography.
写真の著作権は当事務所に帰属します。撮影料には、ご依頼主（撮影費をご負担いただいた方）および建築主・設計者ご自身による、自社の広報・販促・媒体掲載・作品集といった「一次使用」の範囲が含まれます。これを超える使用——撮影費をご負担いただいた方以外の第三者による使用、大規模な広告・キャンペーン、販売・頒布を目的とした使用、使用媒体・期間・地域の追加など——につきましては、内容に応じて別途使用料（二次使用料）を申し受けます。雑誌・メディア等へのご掲載時は、撮影クレジット（例：Photo: TERAKAWA Photo Office / 寺川直希）の表記をお願いしております。使用範囲と費用は、ご契約時に明確にご提示します。
Copyright in the photographs remains with TERAKAWA Photo Office. The shooting fee includes “primary use” by the commissioning party — the party who pays the fee — together with the building owner or architect, for their own PR, promotion, media features, and portfolio. Any use beyond this scope — by third parties other than the commissioning party, in large-scale advertising or campaigns, for sale or distribution, or across additional media, territories, or time periods — is subject to a separate licensing (secondary-use) fee, depending on the scope of use. For magazine and media features, please credit the photographer (e.g., “Photo: TERAKAWA Photo Office / Naoki Terakawa”). The full scope and fees are set out clearly at the time of contract.

As the copyright holder, we may use the photographs on our own website and portfolio, in architecture- and photography-related media, and in our own publications — some of which may be offered for sale. For projects that call for privacy or confidentiality, such as private residences or non-public work, we always confirm with you in advance, so please mention any concerns when you get in touch.

Yes. We produce your architectural photographs as bespoke hardcover albums and photo books — valued as portfolio pieces and keepsakes by architecture firms, builders, and developers, and as handover gifts for building owners. We quote according to format, page count, and quantity.

Completion — or handover — photography documents a building at the moment it is finished, with the design realized exactly as intended. Architectural photography is the broader discipline: it portrays a building not only at handover but as a work in its own right — its presence, its setting, and the way it is inhabited and published. We don’t draw a hard line between the two; every completion shoot is composed to stand as architectural photography in the fullest sense. For more, see our completion-photography page.
外観やドローン空撮など、天候が仕上がりを左右する撮影では、晴天・薄曇りといった条件の良い日をあらかじめ見極めて日程を組みます。当日の悪天候が見込まれる場合は、事前にご相談のうえ、追加費用なく予備日へ振り替えます。内観・模型撮影など天候の影響を受けにくい撮影は、雨天でも予定どおり実施可能です。
For exteriors and drone work, where weather shapes the final image, we plan the date around favorable conditions — clear or lightly overcast skies. If poor weather is forecast, we agree a backup date in advance and move the shoot at no extra cost. Interior and model photography, largely unaffected by the weather, can go ahead as planned even in rain.
立ち会いは必須ではありませんが、設計者の方にご同席いただけると、見せたいディテールや設計意図を確認しながら撮影でき、仕上がりがより確かなものになります。事前の清掃・整頓、照明の点灯確認、可能であれば家具・植栽などのスタイリングを整えていただけると、当日がスムーズです。撮影内容に応じて、事前にチェックリストや当日の進め方をご共有します。
Attendance isn’t required, but having the architect on site lets us confirm the details and design intent you most want captured, which makes for a surer result. Ahead of the day, it helps to have the space cleaned and tidied, the lighting checked and working, and — where possible — furniture and greenery styled. Depending on the brief, we’ll share a checklist and an outline of how the day will run beforehand.

Beyond the shoot and the selects, I can prepare captions and project texts in the language of the submission (English as standard; other languages on request), and export files to the resolution, colour space and format the recipient specifies. TERAKAWA Photo Office is an architectural photography practice in Setagaya, Tokyo, that operates its own website and its proprietary photo-proofing and photo-delivery systems in eight languages (Japanese, English, Spanish, French, Korean, Arabic, Vietnamese and Malay). Because both the delivery page and the proofing page open in all eight, the URL can be passed straight to a collaborating architect, client or editor abroad.
